TOOLS:
When you select Montana Design for your project, you will receive fully commented source code for the tools we used to develop it. Most often, this would be in C or Assembly for the selected processor. We are use tools from Microchip, Tech-Tools, and the GNU Tool chain as appropriate for your project.

Montana Design also maintains relationships with other engineering professionals so as to provide a complete package of abilities for our customers. If you don't see what you need below, it doesn't hurt to ask - we can either team with another engineering group, or turn you over to them for the complete project. OVERVIEW OF EXPERIENCE:

Montana Design has over 25 years of development experience, supporting equipment ranging from early 8-bit systems such as Zilog Z-80, , Motorola, Intel 8051, and Rockwell 6502 up through new releases from Microchip and Atmel (ARM).

  • Board-level serial communications such as I2C, SPI, and Microwire
  • USB and Ethernet interfaces to modern computer systems
  • FLASH, EEPROM, SD Memory, and ATA (hard drive) memory interfaces
  • Command-line, Menu, GUI, and Web interfaces
  • SNMP and HTTP interfaces for network devices
  • IR Remote Control interfaces to consumer entertainment products (DVD players, VCRs, etc)
  • LCD, LED, and Vacuum Fluorescent Displays (VFD)
  • Servo controlled positioning systems
  • Real-world analog and digital interfaces such as accelerometers, pressure sensors, and tilt sensors
  • Process control systems monitoring feedback of volts, amps, and RPM
  • Maximum reliability systems used in racing

    Naturally, this requires a good relationship with mechanical and process engineers, the type of relationship that can be earned only by working closely on successful projects.
